This weekend we enjoyed a visit from our friends Manuel and Alejandra from Toluca. They drove to Querétaro and met us in the charming town of Tequisquiápan, about an hour from the city of Querétaro. We spent a delightful day with them, touring the town, visiting a remote opal mine in La Trinidad, and then touring nearby Bernal. We feasted on the famous gorditas in Bernal, provided by Doña Coco. Then they drove us back to our house in Querétaro, where they stayed overnight. Sunday morning Agustín and Lupita joined us for breakfast at our favorite local breakfast restaurant.
