Thursday, 10/18: Met at airport at 7 AM by our tour coordinators Val and Ian Anthony. Taken by coach to Double Tree Motor Lodge in Auckland for breakfast, followed by orientation. Taken to Cornwall Park for Welcome Lunch. Then to Auckland Museum to view Maori exhibit, to Mt Eden for overview of the city. Dinner in dining room of Lodge.

Fri. 10/19: Bus to Maritime Museum for lecture and guided tour by John Hammond. Short harbour cruise on ferry to Devonport where we had lunch on our own then had a look in the shops. Bus to Kelly Tarlton's Underwater Experience where we saw penguins, lots of sea life, had an interesting lecture. Return to hotel and dinner.
