On Saturday January 26 we visited the caves ("Grutas") at Rancho Nuevo, 8km from San Cristobal. Later that afternoon, we walked through town to a little suburb called Peje de Oro (goldfish) where there is an almost-quaint covered bridge. On Sunday, January 27 we rode various conveyances out some 25km northwest of town to the village of San Andres Larrainzar, to check out their Sunday market.
