Bruce Weber was a vigorous guide for his home town of Skagway. We took some hikes
nearby. The AB (Alaskan Brotherhood) hall (dating from 1899) was the site of several
of our programs. We had a spirited tour of town as well as a gripping story of
Gold Rush days from artist Pete Lucchetti. Pete is seen here showing us the cabin
of original settler Captain Moore, who got to Skagway years before the rush, anticipating
that it would happen. That clock on the mountainside is an ad for Kirmse's Curio
and Jewelry store -- which has been there 100 years.
